Richard graduated from Imperial College with an Engineering degree. After four years in consultancy he trained as an accountant, with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1981. He then worked in the profession for four years with KPMG and in his own firm working for a very wide range of companies and individuals.
Richard worked in the Financial Services industry for 14 years holding senior executive positions within Britannia Building Society and NatWest. He then joined IBM as a Principal Management consultant in their EMEA practice for Mergers & Acquisitions. In 2003 he was appointed CFO for VocaLink (formerly BACS).
In 2009 Richard set up his own consultancy undertaking senior level assignments in the Financial services sector assisting in corporate restructuring e.g. Northern Rock and Lloyds TSB. He now combines this work with being a consultant to Pink, where he uses his wide commercial experience to add value to clients undertaking or considering mergers and acquisitions.
