Alex Clee

Alex graduated from Loughborough University of Technology with a degree in Physical Education and mathematics and qualified as a teacher before a joining KPMG in Reading to become a chartered accountant.

On qualification, she moved into industry and, over a career spanning 25 years, worked in roles from part-time financial accountant to finance director and company secretary in a variety of industries including mechanical and electrical engineering and nuclear enrichment.

She joined Marlow Hockey Club whilst at school and, returning post-university, met her husband pitch-side. Her close association with the Club continues and although unable to show off her goal scoring prowess on the pitch, utilises her debits and credits skills in the role of Club Treasurer.

What has been your proudest moment?
Every time I watch my son play hockey for England. I always cry during the national anthem.

If you could invite any two people for dinner, who would they be and why would you invite them?
Elizabeth I & Elizabeth II so that they could compare notes.
